I only use ButcherBox healthier, grass-fed beef, which I honestly only eat. In fact, they sell well-trimmed sirloin tips already cut for extra convenience. All I need to do once I’m ready to cook is rinsing it and pat the pieces dry before frying in olive oil until browned. Afterwards, I just transfer the browned meat to the crockpot until briefly frying my finely chopped onion and garlic in the pan juices before mixing vinegar, soy sauce, Worcestershire sauce, mustard, salt, pepper, catsup, milk, water, and sugar to heat before pouring it over the waiting meat. To complete this, I just added my vegetables, pour on the remaining oil and cooked this oriental beef on high for a few hours.
Let me tell you that this was the best recipe for oriental beef that you could possibly ask for. First of all, it is so packed full of flavor that comes through every fiber of those sirloin tips. It is juicy and tender that you don’t even need to bother with a knife. Your fork can cut through this beef. Furthermore, cooking this complete meal with your vegetables included in a crockpot frees up the rest of your day because once the food is inside, you just occasionally need to check on it.
I hope that you’ll try this Asian-inspired beef recipe in the slow cooker because it is just too wonderful not to share with you. Oriental Beef Recipe for the Crockpot
1/3 cup of red wine vinegar
1 pound of sirloin tips, sliced in pieces
4 tablespoons of olive oil
2 tablespoons of soy sauce
1 tablespoon of Worcestershire sauce
1 teaspoon of yellow mustard
1 teaspoon of salt
1/4 teaspoon of black pepper
1/4 cup of catsup
½ cups of milk
1/4 cup of water
1 medium onion, finely diced
3 large carrots, quartered
4 potatoes, quartered
1 clove of minced garlic
1 tablespoon of sugar
Rinse and pat your cut sirloin tips with a paper towel until dry.
Add to two tablespoons of olive oil and gently brown the beef.
Next, I transfer the browned pieces of sirloin tips to the crockpot.
In the meantime, I gently brown the chopped onion and garlic briefly, more to soften them.
While the onion and garlic are cooking, I mix up the red wine vinegar, soy sauce, Worcestershire sauce, yellow mustard, salt, pepper, catsup, milk, water, and sugar. I add this mixture to the pan along with the simmering onions and garlic to just heat through.
Now I pour this heated liquid over the meat and add the vegetables.
Pour the remaining two tablespoons of olive oil over the vegetables.
I cover the crockpot and keep on high for about three hours.
ENJOY!
