Fourth of July Fireworks in Montgomery County


Fireworks displays are a timeless tradition and Montgomery County, Maryland has a variety of opportunities to see fireworks on the Fourth of July. All events are family-friendly and most include food and live entertainment. With the holiday falling on a Tuesday this year, July 4th celebrations are being celebrated all weekend long.

The Fourth at The Family Room

The Family Room
6820 Olney Laytonsville Road, Kensington, MD

Start your Fourth of July celebrations early with fireworks and fun at The Family Room! Celebrate on July 3rd from 5:00 pm to 10:00 pm with ice cream, food trucks and an excellent view of the Montgomery Country Club fireworks. Grab dinner before dessert and fireworks!

Mid-County Sparkles

Albert Einstein High School
11135 Newport Rd, Kensington, MD

Mid-County Sparkles begins at 6:00 pm on July 1st. Live music starts at 6:00 pm and features music by Ocho de Bastos and the Earth, Wind, and Fire Tribute Band. Only parking for individuals with disabilities will be available on-site at Albert Einstein High School. Free parking and shuttle service will be provided from Westfield Wheaton Mall, located at 11160 Veirs Mill Road starting at 5:30 pm. The fireworks display will begin at approximately 9:15 pm. The timing of the fireworks show may change due to weather conditions. Low lawn chairs, blankets and coolers are welcome. There will be food vendors. Pets and alcoholic beverages are not permitted.

SummerFest

Bohrer Park at Summit Hall Farm
506 South Frederick Avenue, Gaithersburg, MD

On July 1st, SummerFest is the fun-packed and free event to commemorate America’s independence. The festival will have live music, family activities, local breweries, food trucks. Attraction, a top dance band from D.C. will perform at the event and the SummerGlo After Party. A fireworks display will start around 9:25 pm. Limited parking is available onsite, and free parking can be found at Bohrer Park and parking garages.

Germantown Glory

South Germantown Recreational Park
18041 Central Park Circle, Boyds, MD

Germantown Glory will kick off on July 4th at 7:00 pm at the South Germantown Recreational Park featuring a performance honoring the life of Tina Turner with the Forever Tina tribute band. The fireworks display will begin at approximately 9:15 pm. Timing of the fireworks show may change due to weather conditions. Low lawn chairs, blankets and coolers are welcome. There will be food vendors at both locations. Pets and alcoholic beverages are not permitted.

Rockville’s Independence Day

Mattie J. T. Stepanek Park
1800 Piccard Drive, Rockville, MD

The City of Rockville’s Independence Day Celebration returns on July 4th at Mattie J. T. Stepanek Park in King Farm. The event kicks off with live music by Vertigo Red at 7:00 pm, followed by 20 minutes of fireworks. Guests are encouraged to bring blankets, lawn chairs and picnic items. Parking is available in lots along Shady Grove and Gaither Roads as well as on Piccard Drive.

Upper Montgomery County VFD 4th of July Fireworks

Soccer Fields
14650 Hughes Road, Poolesville, MD

The Upper Montgomery County Volunteer Fire Department will once again sponsor a fantastic fireworks display on July 4th. The event will be held at 14650 Hughes Road in Poolesville. Gates will open at 5:00 pm and the price of admission is $10 per car. This year’s event will feature the very popular “Special Delivery Band” playing the best of classic rock and roll. The band will begin at 6:30 pm and will play until 8:30 pm. There will be a wide variety of food vendors and specialty item vendors. Once again this year, we will have a “Start the Show” raffle where the lucky winner will push the button to start the brilliant Zambelli fireworks display. Alcohol and pets are prohibited.
