Street rage fool charged after allegedly crashing into driver, chasing them with a knife

A Victorian highway was the scene of a dramatic road rage incident that caused a car to flip on its roof – and led to the driver emerging with a knife.

7News reports two vehicles were involved in the incident on Princes Freeway in Tynong North, Victoria on June 29.

The 50-year old driver of the Holden Astra wagon was allegedly driving erratically and tailgating the blue Mazda 323 sedan.

Witnesses who provided footage told 7News the Mazda braked when the Astra attempted to overtake it. The Astra then rammed into the sedan which resulted in the wagon rolling onto its side and landing on its roof.

Once the Astra was stationary, the driver emerged allegedly wielding a knife.

In the video, it appears the armed man attempted to chase down the other driver.

The pair were reportedly separated by bystanders, and police later charged the Astra driver with a string of offences including reckless conduct endangering serious injury, driving in a dangerous manner, careless driving, and assault with a weapon.
