What to Expect

Disney100: The Exhibition features 10 large, themed galleries (covering a whopping 15,000 square feet) that cover the history of Disney from Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs to Strange World (released in November 2022).

What can guests expect? Over 250 rare artifacts from The Walt Disney Archives (the company’s famous and mysterious “vault”), as well as a selection of original artworks, costumes, props and behind-the-scenes memorabilia from the Walt Disney Animation Research Library, Walt Disney Imagineering Art Library, Pixar Living Archives and Marvel Studios.

Disney revealed 23 “Crown Jewels” in advance of the exhibition premiere, including:

  • A 1953 Disneyland concept drawing by legendary artist Herb Ryman
  • Bette Midler’s spellbook from Hocus Pocus (1993)
  • BB-8, as seen in the Star Wars sequel trilogy, The Force Awakens (2015), The Last Jedi (2017) and Rise of the Skywalker (2019)
  • The Black Panther costume from Black Panther (2018), and
  • Visual development art for The Little Mermaid (1989), The Princess and the Frog (2009) and Frozen (2013).
