New Air Canada, United Lounges for SFO, Newark

Air Canada has opened a Maple Leaf lounge in Terminal 2 at San Francisco International Airport, making it the carrier’s third U.S. lounge and 28th worldwide, the airline announced Wednesday.

At more than 8,000 square feet, the lounge seats 165 customers and includes an outdoor terrace, runway views, showers with heated towel racks, and a VIP room for up to 10 people.

In addition, Air Canada has co-branded with United Airlines’ latest club lounge at Newark International Airport, which opened on June 28 in Terminal A near gate 27, with a dedicated service desk.

The 15,000-sq.-ft. space seats more than 300 and includes a complimentary buffet and premium bar, high-speed Wi-Fi, a wellness room and self-scan entry gates. This is the second United Club to open at Newark, following a 30,000-sq.-ft. space in Terminal C3 near gate C123, which debuted in May 2022.
