2024 Lexus LC worth: Extra tech, extra money

Lexus Australia has detailed yet another update for its flagship LC coupe and convertible range, which brings more technology than ever before.

The updated 2024 Lexus LC is available now available to order, with pricing up across the range by up to almost $20,000.

The range now starts at $204,635 before on-roads for the LC 500 coupe, and extends to $218,242 before on-roads for the LC 500 convertible. A full pricing list is at the bottom of this story.

Headlining the update is Lexus’ latest 12.3-inch infotainment system, which adds support for wireless Apple CarPlay and wired Android Auto.

The 13-speaker Mark Levinson sound system has also been updated to allow playback of high-resolution sound sources, while the speakers have been changed to a low-voltage type.

The LC’s suite of active driver assist systems has been upgraded, with the pre-collision system now able to detect cyclists in the daytime and pedestrians at all times.

Intersection turning assist can detect oncoming vehicles when turning right at an intersection, as well as pedestrians crossing the road on either side of an intersection.

The radar cruise control is more capable, and has been expanded to include speed sign assist, which allows for easy switching between set speeds using the steering wheel buttons.

Other new safety features include emergency steering assist, curve speed reduction, lane tracing assist, rear cross-traffic alert, and a surround-view camera.

The Lexus LC now gets a complimentary three-year subscription to Lexus Connected Services.

With the help of an in-built data communication module (DCM) and the Lexus Connected smartphone app, owners can view the odometer reading, fuel level, distance to empty, recent trip information, and the vehicle’s last known location.

Owners can also remotely check the open/close status of the doors, windows, hatch and boot. The app can also push a notification if any of these are left open or the hazard lights are left on.

Other connected service features include remotely starting the engine, as well as locking and unlocking the doors and boot.

The LC 500 continues to be powered by a 5.0-litre naturally aspirated V8 petrol engine producing 351kW of power and 540Nm of torque. This is mated to a 10-speed automatic with drive sent to the rear wheels only.

The LC 500 coupe also continues to be available with a $15,000 Enhancement Pack that adds dynamic rear steering, variable gear ratio steering, an active rear spoiler, carbon fibre roof, 10-way power adjustable front seats with Alcantara and leather-accented upholstery, and carbon fibre scuff plates.

The LC 500h coupe on the other hand now receives the Enhancement Pack as standard, and also picks up a Torsen limited-slip differential and “high-grade” brake discs.

It’s still powered by a 3.5-litre V6 petrol-electric hybrid engine producing 264kW. This is mated with a continuously variable transmission (CVT) with drive sent to the rear wheels only.

The update brings two new exterior paint colours to the LC range – Sonic Copper and Cobalt Mica. These join the existing White Nova, Sonic Chrome, Sonic Iridium, Titanium, Graphite Black, Infared, Zinnia Yellow and Khaki Metal finishes.

It’s worth noting that Carnelian and Deep Blue exterior paint colours have been discontinued.

The updated 2024 Lexus LC range is priced as follows:

  • 2024 Lexus LC 500 coupe: $204,635 (+$4704)
  • 2024 Lexus LC 500h coupe: $212,727 (+$19,704)
  • 2024 Lexus LC 500 convertible: $218,242 (+$4704)
