Frank’s Burger Place (Wheaton)
A family-owned business in Wheaton, Frank’s Burger Place specializes in burgers, shakes, and fries. Their all-natural ingredients are of the highest quality by being antibiotic and hormone free. While having a beef burger, they also pride themselves on offering a homemade veggie burger made with Red Quinoa. Or, if you’re a meat eater, you can’t go wrong with the classic Plain Burger, or their All-American Burger with a smashed double patty, with American cheese, lettuce, tomatoes, and pickles.

Steeze Burger (Derwood)
This pop-up food truck created by hamburger historian, Hunter Karametos, and based in Gaithersburg creates specialized burgers from a technique Karametos learned while in London. The name Steeze Burger comes from a slang term including “steeze” which means cool and it sounds similar to cheeseburger. He sources his beef from local farms in northern Montgomery County. Steeze Burger has three types of burgers to purchase including single, double, or triple. Customers can even get a burger without the bun and all the toppings!

The Comus Inn (Dickerson)
Located in the Agricultural Reserve, The Comus Inn gives guests a chance to view the rolling hills of Montgomery County’s countryside and enjoy a fresh farm-to-table dinner experience. Chef Sammy D is from New York and elevates the status of The Comus Inn to legendary with the addition of his craft and skills to create Sammy’s Smash Burger. It’s a 3 oz house blend of beef smashed and smothered with melted onions, a secret sauce, and presented with a soft potato roll.

Slider Rider (Gaithersburg)
Want an out-of-this-world burger experience? Head to pop-up shop Slider Rider. The owners started their business during the pandemic when they lost their jobs. Now, they offer crafted burgers named after planets Saturn, Mars, Mercury & Neptune. There is also a meatless option by swapping out their beef burgers with Beyond Meat.

Soko Butcher (Takoma Park)
Soko Butcher nestled on the Maryland side of Takoma Park and focuses heavily on sustainable farms that raise their cattle ethically and humanely. Owners Brad and Chris wanted to keep traditions alive and be transparent to the community about what they’re eating. They serve their own version of a smashed burger called the Smashed Soko which has two dry-aged beef patties on a potato roll.

Woodmont Grill (Bethesda)
A high-end dining experience can be found at the Woodmont Grill in Bethesda. Since 1992, Woodmont Grill has been a dining destination. They offer a cheeseburger and a house-made veggie burger. While the veggie burger gets the attention, their cheeseburger is tasty with shredded lettuce and pickles.

Quarry House Tavern (Silver Spring)
Although the Quarry House Tavern in Silver Spring specializes in Whiskey and features over 250 bottles, their Quarry House Burgers offer serious flavor. The Morning Glory is handcrafted and served on a locally made roll with a side of chips. Toppings include an egg, jalapeno cream cheese, bacon, and maple mayonnaise. Meatless fans will rejoice with the option to substitute the patty for a Beyond Burger.
