Renault, Tesla impress in market up 13.1% – Finest Promoting Automobiles Weblog


Renault sales are up 226.1% year-on-year in Luxembourg in July.

4,208 new cars found a buyer in Luxembourg in July, a 13.1% year-on-year improvement leading to a year-to-date tally up 20.2% to 30,702. Volkswagen (+13.5%) matches the market to solidly hold onto the brands top spot with 14% share vs. 12.3% so far this year In fact the Top 5 brands are in the same order as in June, with BMW (+10.2%), Audi (+2.5%) underperforming, Mercedes (-22%) sinking and Skoda (+23.5%) roaring up. Compensating for a paltry year-ago volume, Renault sales are up 226.1% year-on-year but at 5.3% share it is just over the 5% it commands year-to-date. Tesla (+1775%) does even better and returns inside the Top 10 at #9, a ranking it now also holds YTD. Kia (+25.8%) and Hyundai (+19.2%) also beat the market in the remainder of the Top 10 whereas Peugeot (-51.9%) implodes.
