Dacia Duster leads shy market – Finest Promoting Vehicles Weblog


The Dacia Duster is the best-selling vehicle in Croatia in August.

The Croatian new car market is back in positive in August at +4.7% year-on-year to 3,475 sales. The year-to-date volume is now up 31.8% to 42,485 units. Skoda (+43.5%) almost multiplies the market growth by 10 to stay in the brands pole position, distancing YTD leader Volkswagen (+3.4%). Note Skoda is up to 13.4% share for the month vs. 10.8% so far this year where it ranks #3. Dacia (+15.6%) is up four spots on July to #3, clocking an 8.5% market share vs. 6.5% YTD. Suzuki (+83.5%), Kia (+63.4%) and Audi (+56.3%) are the biggest gainers in the Top 10, with Peugeot (+33.9%) and Renault (+31.4%) also in great shape.

Over in the models lane, the Dacia Duster (+42.1%) signs its first win since May 2022 with 4.9% of the market, it ranks #3 year-to-date at 3% share. The Skoda Octavia (-10.1%) is dislodged from the top spot  and still ranks #2 YTD. Two Suzukis follow: the Vitara (+98%) at #3 and the SX4 S-Cross (+44.6%) at #4. The Skoda Kamiq (+171.9%) surges five spots on July to #5, distancing the Hyundai Tucson (+16.4%) and a struggling Dacia Sandero (-21%). The VW T-Roc soars 78.6% year-on-year to #8, the VW Golf breaks into the Top 10 at #9 and the Renault Clio (+71.1%) rounds out the Top 10, remaining by far the best-selling car in the country year-to-date (+276.9%).
