If you want to be good to yourself with an easy dinner and serve your family something they are sure to love, then this cheesy ground beef casserole is comfort food at its best. This beef casserole also has another great thing going for it besides just being so scrumptious. It is incredibly easy to make, which is extremely helpful with how busy our lives are. After all, you just had some browning to do of the ground beef, chopping the vegetables, measuring the ingredients and grating some cheese before boiling up the pasta. Afterwards, you basically mix the ingredients, cover and simmer until ready to serve. What more can you ask for?

Something else that is wonderful about this cheesy ground beef dinner is that it is a great way to sneak in vegetables for those family members that snub their noses to vegetables. The extra cheese just smooths the way to hide this protein-fortified deception without them noticing they are eating something good for them.

I use grass-fed ground beef from ButcherBox, which doesn’t produce a pan of grease when browning. In fact, I honestly don’t need to drain the fat when I use it. However, if you use regular ground beef, then be sure to drain that excess fat before adding the tomato sauce and cheeses.

I hope that when you need a new idea for dinner that you’ll want to print out my recipe for cheesy ground beef casserole. Please share it with your family and friends and do come back to my blog for more home-tested recipes from my kitchen to yours!

3 tablespoons of olive oil
1 cup onion, finely chopped
1 large green pepper (about a cup), finely chopped
1 (15-oz.) can tomato sauce

1/4 teaspoon black pepper

You can serve or finish baking this casserole in a 350-degree oven for 20 minutes more until the cheese is piping hot and bubbly.
