Data by our Central European partner CE Auto shows a Moldovan new car market off -1.9% year-on-year in August to 776 registrations, leading to a year-to-date tally up 12.5% to 5,361. The Kia Sportage (+8.3%) continues to dominate the charts but is only 1 unit above the Toyota RAV4 (-12.3%) for the month. The Skoda Kodiaq (-25%) stays in third place above the Hyundai Tucson (+42.9%) and Peugeot 3008. The Toyota Corolla Cross equals it highest ranking at #6 for its 2nd ever appearance in the Moldovan Top 10 while the Ford Kuga, Suzuki Vitara and Geely Atlas Pro ensure the Top 9 is entirely composed of SUVs.
