Mercedes leads for the primary time in 18 months – Finest Promoting Vehicles Weblog


Mercedes is the best-selling carmaker in Luxembourg in September.

3,879 new cars hit Luxembourg roads in September, a solid 8.6% year-on-year improvement. This leads to a year-to-date tally up 18.5% to 37,997. Mercedes (+10%) snaps its first monthly win since March 2022, overtaking Volkswagen (-16.7%). #1 last month, BMW (+22.5%) drops to #3 but shows a healthy year-on-year uptick. Audi (-8.8%) is in difficulty at #4 whereas Skoda (+29.9%) and Renault (+67.2%) shine. Tesla (+0.6%) underperforms as it only edges up but at 4.7% it still vastly beats its YTD share of 3.3%. Volvo (+60.8%) and Toyota (+37.7%) impress in the remainder of the Top 10.
