Virtual card and spend management platform Extend has added an AI-powered receipt matching feature, the company announced.
With the feature, users can email receipt images or upload them in the Extend app, and the platform automatically matches them with their card transactions. The AI technology can pull such details as merchant name and transaction amount from the image. That enables “real-time efficiency, visibility and compliance across the business,” according to Extend chief product officer Orna Albus.
The Extend platform was designed to “extend” the capabilities of existing cards by adding features via partnerships with banking partners including American Express, City National, HSBC, Pacific Western and Regions. The receipt-matching feature is available to all business clients of Extend’s banking partners.
