A Cover for Your Optic…and Your Eyes? The Strike Optic Cover
Red Dot Cover plates aren’t anything new, and neither are protective shrouds. But what a lot of shooters are doing these days in an effort to improve their shooting with red dot optics is to shoot with their red dot “occluded.” This usually just entails putting a piece of tape over the front of the optic window, forcing your nondominant eye to focus on the target, while your dominant eye overlays the dot. This method keeps your target focused leading to faster target acquisition, and faster follow-up shots. The new Strike Optic Cover not only protects your optic but quickly and easily allows you to occlude your dot without having to resort to using tape.
