Where to Cheer
With festivities spread out over 10 miles, it can be hard to know the best places to catch all the action. Read on for some of the top spots.
The Starting Line
The Broad Street Run kicks off in North Philly by the Central High School Athletic Field, located on Broad Street between Fisher and Somerville avenues. An electric atmosphere fills the field and racers toe the starting line by 7:55 a.m. sharp, with fresh waves of competitors gathering every five minutes.
The Finish Line
Where better to cheer on these athletes than at the official after-party? The race concludes at the K Lot in Lincoln Financial Field, right across the street from the Broad Street Run after-party at XFINITY Live! (More on that below.)
All Along the Route
DJs and live bands will be pumping up crowds and cheering on competitors at locations throughout Philly. Prime viewing spots, from north to south, include:
- Broad Street and Lehigh Avenue
- Broad Street and Master Street
- Broad Street and Spring Garden Street
- Dilworth Park (by City Hall)
- Broad Street and Carpenter Street
- Broad Street and Washington Avenue
- Broad Street and Jackson Street
- Broad Street and Pattison Avenue
At Home
Perhaps you’re more of an “in spirit” kind of spectator. If so, you can watch a TV broadcast of the Broad Street Run on NBC10 and T62 (Telemundo) or catch the live stream online.
