Amadeus, Microsoft and Accenture are working together to develop an AI-powered travel assistant within Amadeus’ Cytric Easy platform, the companies announced.
Using Microsoft technologies including Azure Open AI Service’s GPT models, Microsoft 365 and Teams, the AI assistant will be able help corporate travelers across their trip, including planning and booking. It will combine traveler preferences with company policies to make suggestions and ask for clarifications in a conversational style, according to the companies.
“The new generative AI-powered chatbot will offer an enhanced way to book business travel, moving from a standard sequential display with predetermined filters to a dynamic, interactive conversational interface powered by ChatGPT,” Amadeus Cytric Solutions EVP Rudy Daniello said in a statement. “When fully realized, business travelers will be able to book trips with even greater ease, saving time.”
Accenture is working in the development and will pilot the travel assistant, the companies said.
Amadeus and Microsoft also are working together on a Cytric Easy plugin for the Microsoft 365 Copilot artificial intelligence tool. The plugin would enable corporate travelers to match and book itineraries via a workflow in the Microsoft 365 product family, which includes Outlook and Teams.
Microsoft and Cytric have been working together for more than a year to embed Cytric booking and expense into the Microsoft 365 suite.
