Fresh off losing Hyatt Globalist status in February and resigning myself to lower-level status with World of Hyatt, an amazing opportunity just presented itself. And you can get in on it too if you act fast. I’ve enrolled and you should as well.
It’s the chance to get Hyatt’s top status until 2025!

On top of that, with World of Hyatt’s Bonus Journeys promotion now underway, you can stack opportunities for earning extra points. For every two nights after your first stay during the promo period, you get 3,000 bonus points for up to 30 nights.
World of Hyatt Globalist has been one of my absolute favorite statuses. Last year, I used a suite upgrade courtesy of Hyatt Globalist status at the Park Hyatt Paris Vendome and scored a suite on a points redemption of just 40,000 World of Hyatt points per night.
I also used World of Hyatt points at the Hyatt Regency Paris Etoile. My Globalist status got me into the fabulous Regency Club with sweeping views of the City of Lights and the Eiffel Tower in the distance (oh and free food).
Unfortunately, I did not re-qualify for 2023 and dropped down to Explorist. But with this new challenge that won’t last long.
How to enroll
In case you missed it, Bilt members can register for an incredible 90-day World of Hyatt trial. You have until April 1 to enroll, and then during a 90-day trial that begins on April 17, you can earn World of Hyatt status through February 2025. You get Explorist status if you stay 10 qualifying nights and top-tier Globalist status by staying 20 qualifying nights.
You can enroll even if you don’t have the Bilt Mastercard® (see rates and fees).

Don’t forget to join the World of Hyatt program if you are not already a member.
You can link your Bilt Rewards and Hyatt accounts in the Bilt app under the “Travel” tab.
Then, between March 28 and April 1, open the Bilt app and select “Unlock World of Hyatt Elite Status” on the Rent Day tab.
Once that’s done you’ll get confirmation that you enrolled in the trial. Bilt promises everyone will be notified with details by then.
You get World of Hyatt Explorist perks during the challenge until July 16. All you have to do to earn full World of Hyatt status through Feb. 2025 is complete 10–20 qualifying nights between those two dates. Ten gets you Explorist; 20 gets you Globalist.
The cool thing is that award nights qualify, and current elite members are eligible. That includes me.
Also, note you won’t earn Hyatt milestone rewards unless you stay the required number of nights for those milestones.

Other earning opportunities
Also note that under the Bonus Journeys promotion until May 26, if you have the World of Hyatt Credit Card or World of Hyatt Business Credit Card, you can earn 500 bonus points every two nights you stay at participating hotels in 10 select cities, up to 30 nights (or 7,500 total bonus points) during this promotion. The cities eligible for the 500-bonus-points promotion are Atlanta, Chicago, Dallas, Denver, Hong Kong, London, New York, Paris, Tokyo and Washington, D.C. You must be booked under a qualifying rate, and unlike the broader offer, this one kicks in on the first stay.
Bottom line
There are some major opportunities right now with World of Hyatt. Despite a recent devaluation, World of Hyatt remains, in my opinion, the most lucrative hotel loyalty program. Bilt is offering an incredible shortcut to status with just 10 stays for Explorist and 20 for Globalist. You can also earn up to 45,000 bonus points by May 26 via Hyatt’s Bonus Journeys promotion.
I’m already planning out my Hyatt stay strategy for the spring now and I’m looking forward to again getting in the warm glow of World of Hyatt Globalist status.
