Air Canada has partnered with travel tech company Hopper to add an option to cancel eligible nonrefundable fare types booked on the Air Canada website, the carrier announced Wednesday.
The Cancel for Any Reason option will be available for a fee and will allow customers to cancel up to 24 hours prior to departure. Depending on the level of coverage purchased, the refund will be 80 percent to 100 percent of the original eligible booking and be issued immediately to the customer’s preferred payment method, according to Air Canada. The offer is available for Standard, Flex, Premium Economy Lowest and Business Class Lowest fares.
The Cancel for Any Reason feature is offered in addition to the standard Air Canada refund and cancellation policy, according to the carrier.
In addition, Air Canada and Emirates have expanded their codeshare partnership for flights to and from Montreal, following the launch of service to that destination in July, Emirates announced Thursday. Emirates customers now can travel to 11 Canadian destinations beyond Montreal with a single ticket.
