Air France-KLM, SAS Signal Codeshare Settlement

Air France-KLM and SAS will launch on Sept. 1 codeshare and interline agreements, applicable to Air France, KLM and SAS, the carriers announced Thursday. The agreements also cover loyalty benefits.

Through the codeshare agreement, Air France and KLM customers will gain access to 33 destinations in Northern Europe beyond SAS’ hubs in Copenhagen, Oslo and Stockholm. SAS customers will gain access to 33 European destinations beyond the Air France hub at Paris Charles de Gaulle airport and KLM’s hub at Amsterdam Schiphol airport.

“Intercontinental destinations will be added to the agreement in the near future,” according to the carriers.

The interline agreement will cover the European networks of the three carriers.

Members of the Air France-KLM Flying Blue loyalty program and SAS’ EuroBonus program will be able to earn and redeem miles or points on all flights operating as of Sept. 1, according to the carriers. Eligible EuroBonus members also will have access to SkyTeam services and benefits, including SkyPriority and lounge access.
