AirPlus International has partnered with payment platform Billhop to enable supplier payments on AirPlus virtual and plastic cards for suppliers that do not accept credit cards, the payment provider announced.
With the partnerships, AirPlus clients can request a payment by entering their card information on the Billhop platform. Billhop charges the card and pays the supplier via a bank transfer, with the payment information imported into the payer’s ERP systems. The payment is then handled as a standard AirPlus card charge, according to the company.
AirPlus head of B-to-B payments Stefan Waelde said the partnership will “bridge the gap” for the “numerous B-to-B suppliers who do not accept credit cards.” The partnership also enables payments to infrequently used suppliers without having to onboard them into ERP systems, according to AirPlus.
