Alaska Airlines has partnered on loyalty program accrual with Taipei-based carrier Starlux Airlines, which on Wednesday launched its inaugural transpacific service between Taipei and Los Angeles, Alaska announced.
Starlux offers connections to 16 Asian destinations, including Bangkok, Hanoi, Manila and Singapore. Members of Alaska’s Mileage Plan loyalty program now can earn miles on all Starlux flights, and soon they’ll be able to redeem miles on the carrier as well, according to Alaska.
The Asian carrier operates the Taipei-Los Angeles route with Airbus A350-900 aircraft configured with four classes of service: first, business, premium economy and economy.
