Alaska Airlines and JetBlue contributed toward Air Company’s $69 million Series B funding round, the carbon conversion technology company announced Wednesday. The company captures carbon and converts it into sustainable aviation fuel.

The new capital will be used to “bolster Air Company’s engineering and R&D capabilities” and accelerate the production of SAF, according to the company.

Alaska is a new investor in the company, while JetBlue Ventures, the investment arm of JetBlue, also participated in Air Company’s Series A funding round.

Additional Series B funders include Avfuel, Lowercarbon Capital, IQT, Connecticut Innovation’s Climate Tech Fund, Duncan Aviation, JSSI and Sheltair Aviation. Returning funders in addition to JetBlue Ventures include Carbon Direct Capital and Toyota Ventures, according to Air Company.
