Changing the Solar Generator Game: Point Zero Titan

I love solar generators. And maybe the term ‘solar generator’ is a weird term to some, but essentially, a solar generator is a compact battery system, that has the added benefit of being able to plug solar panels into it.

The beauty of solar generators is they’re a compact solar setup. They have the batter(ies), charge controller, and inverter; ready to keep your life charged for adventures or emergencies!

Let’s take a closer look at one solar generator in particular: Point Zero Titan

What makes the Point Zero Titan generator a game-changer?

It has stackable batteries!

You read that right.

While most solar generators will come with a certain capacity, as in, they have one internal battery that you can’t upgrade or change, you can stack batteries to give greater capacity for the Titan.

I can’t believe someone hasn’t come out with this sooner!

I wish this had been out when we were living off-grid. Our system had batteries that were connected, along with a charge controller and inverter, but it was far more spread out and not as compact as this.

And honestly, we’re going to be getting more batteries so we can get a huge stack of consumable energy, enough to run our whole house if we need to!

I’m giddy with the stackable batteries. Each battery has 2500 watts of usable hours. That’s an incredible amount of usable energy per battery!

It’s portable, quiet and compact.

When I say it’s portable, let me preface it by saying that even with just one battery, it is a bit of a beast to move with brute strength. It’s possible, but I highly recommend setting it on a cart with wheels. They happen to sell a roller cart that has wheels for the generator, as well as additional batteries.

They do sell solar panels that hook into it, they also sell additional cables. I recommend getting extended cables so you can keep the panels outside and the generator with the batteries inside your home. I don’t recommend keeping the generator or batteries outside in extreme temps. If you live somewhere with extreme cold or extreme hot temps, keep the generator and batteries indoors, then use the cables to install the panels either on the roof or anywhere outside, so the solar panels stay outdoors and the important components stay indoors in a more controlled environment.

This is caution more for the batteries than anything as they can and will drain quickly and/or be damaged in extreme temps, even lithium.

They offer financing which is a huge plus because it might feel out of your price range, but you still really want a solar setup. But let me tell you, we paid twice as much for our full-house solar setup. This is a steal at this price.

This is the ultimate plug-and-play option when it comes to off-grid energy.

It’s this easy to get started:

  • Take it out of the box.
  • Follow simple directions to calibrate your battery.
  • Plug into the wall to fully charge the battery.
  • Once charged up, it’s ready to use!
  • At this point, you can connect solar panels to it as well.

I love the display, too. It not only shows you the amps of the battery, as well as visually see how low the battery is, but it also shows you how many watts are being output or input. It also gives you an estimated time to when the battery will be drained based on the current wattage drain. It also gives an estimated time based on wattage input to show when the battery will be full.

I really could gush about this system forever. It’s one of the most innovative generators that I’ve seen in a long time.

If you’re looking for something more robust that will charge just about anything you could ever desire for adventures, emergencies and even off-grid living, this is it. This is the one.
