Choice Hotels International has promoted former head of international operations David Beers to CEO of Choice Hotels EMEA, the company announced Wednesday.
Beers, who Choice in a statement said has been with the company for 25 years, “will focus on strategic growth and financial performance for the region.” Choice said it has nearly 400 open hotels in 17 countries in the Europe, the Middle East and Africa region across four hotel brands: Ascend Hotel Collection, Clarion, Comfort and Quality.
Beers reports to Choice SVP and GM of international Ricardo Losada Revol, who in a statement said, “This leadership transition marks a significant milestone for Choice Hotels in EMEA as we continue to expand our market presence, enhance our product offering and improve our franchisee and customer experience.”
Beers replaces former Choice EMEA CEO Jonathan Mills, who left the company in April.
