Amadeus has completed its €320 million acquisition of airport, airline and border control biometrics solution provider Vision-Box, the travel technology company announced. As part of the acquisition, announced in January, Vision-Box’s 470 employees and its founder and CEO Miguel Leitmann have joined Amadeus, with Leitmann reporting to Amadeus president of travel Decius Valmorbida. Amadeus said the acquisition enables it to “deliver a fully integrated traveler journey from the moment of booking to arrival at the airport,” with new biometrics technology and border control solutions in Amadeus’ portfolio.
