American Express cardholders (and even some non-cardholders) will get a chance to enjoy a slew of special offers during American Express Member Week. Amex is back this year with a five-day event from Oct. 9-13, with cool experiences and statement credits on travel brands like Delta Air Lines and Hilton that add up to nearly $400.
Special events in some cities include custom dinners curated by star chefs and even a sneak peek at Olivia Rodrigo’s first live performance of her latest hit album. There are also a number of limited-time travel and shopping deals, as well as benefits for Amex small-business cardmembers. This year, for the first time, some events are even open to non-cardmembers who can get a taste of Amex membership with a free Member Week Pass.
What is American Express Member Week?
Member Week is an annual showcase for American Express to demonstrate the perks and benefits that members enjoy on its cards. The event debuted in 2021 and continues to evolve in terms of the offers and unique experiences provided to members. Access to Member Week is reserved for American Express personal, business and corporate card holders. However, this year American Express has created a Member Week Pass, which allows potential customers a chance to sample the services that come with an Amex membership. The pass includes access to some special events during Member Week.

Having looked at the expansive list of offerings, there is certainly something for just about everyone to take advantage of. For example, cardholders will be able to snag tickets for some prime entertainment and sporting events in 2024 through Amex presales that will take place during Member Week. That includes tickets to Coachella and the 2024 U.S. Open Golf championship, which will be held at the historic Pinehurst Resort and Country Club in North Carolina.
But that’s just a small sampling. We found three offers that we wanted to spotlight for you to keep an eye on during Member Week:
For foodies
Amex is hosting dinners during Member Week in select cities. These custom dining experiences are exclusively for cardmembers and Member Week Pass holders. Guests will sit together at a long table, family-style, and enjoy a special multicourse meal prepared by local restaurant chefs. The first Member Week dinner happens in Austin at the Umlauf Sculpture Garden with chef Fermin Nunez of Suerte and Este on Oct. 11. The next one will be in Washington, D.C., on Oct. 18, with chefs Matt Conroy and Isabel Coss of Lutece. Tickets for these specialty dinners will cost $275, and space is limited.
One of the best and easiest perks of Member Week is open to all eligible Amex cardmembers who use Resy, the restaurant reservation platform. You can earn a $25 statement credit by spending a minimum of $75 at any of the 200-plus participating restaurants on Resy, up to two times. You must redeem this offer by Dec. 8.
For travelers
If you’ve been mulling an overseas trip, you should consider booking it during Member Week. Those with cobranded Delta American Express cards can earn travel credits with an eligible international flight purchase through delta.com.

Eligible cardholders with the Delta SkyMiles® Gold American Express Card, the Delta SkyMiles® Platinum American Express Card or the Delta SkyMiles® Reserve American Express Card can earn a $100 Delta credit for future travel when they spend at least $500 on an international flight that originates in the U.S. The flight must be booked on delta.com during Member Week to be eligible to earn the credit. Full terms and conditions can be found on the Member Week home page.
Other travel benefits include special offers on other airlines, including Lufthansa and Qatar Airways, for travel booked through amextravel.com, as well as for cruise lines like Regent Seven Seas Cruises, Seabourn and Silversea Cruises. Amex cardholders can also earn a $80 credit at select Hilton properties if they book directly on hilton.com and spend $200 or more (certain restrictions apply).
For music fans
Ticket demand for Olivia Rodrigo’s upcoming world tour is off the charts, with just about every show sold out. Amex cardholders will be able to get a sneak peek without having to spend a dime. The “Good 4 You” singer will perform select songs from her new album “Guts” which will debut Oct. 10 at 8 p.m. Eastern time on Rodrigo’s official YouTube channel. While the general public will be able to view the performances, Amex cardholders will reportedly benefit from pop-up notifications during the videos.
Another perk offered during Member Week for music lovers is access to the presale for tickets to LCD Soundsystem’s 2024 residency in New York City. Those presales will take place Oct. 10-11.
Bottom line
There’s a lot available during the five days of American Express Member Week this year. Along with the offers highlighted above, Amex cardmembers and passholders will have the chance to tee it up with pro golfers at TopGolf locations in Miami and Las Vegas during Member Week. There are also new benefits this year for merchants with Amex cards, including special savings and access to web-based content aimed to help owners grow their businesses.
Be sure to carefully explore the Amex Member Week site to make sure you don’t miss an offer.
