American Specific cardholders have early entry to US Open tickets this week solely

In case you missed it, tickets for the U.S. Open Tennis Championships go on sale for the general public next week. It’s the final Grand Slam tournament held annually in New York and the crown jewel of the American tennis scene. This year the tournament will take place from Aug. 28 to Sept. 10.

Typically, American Express and Chase offer their credit card holders certain perks associated with the tournament, including members-only lounges and suites.

Another perk specific to Amex cardholders is happening this week, with early access to tickets ahead of the general public release June 5.

AMERICAN EXPRESS

Through 11:59 p.m. EDT on June 3, Amex cardholders can purchase tickets online through Ticketmaster, the official ticketing partner of the U.S. Open. Amex customers can buy a maximum of eight tickets per day for both day and evening sessions, for 16 total session tickets per date. Additionally, customers may purchase up to eight ground admission passes per date, applicable during both early access and public sale. For early access tickets, Amex customers can only order one ticket per session for select high-demand sessions, as noted online.

Note that all sales are final, with no refunds or exchanges.

In addition to early access to tickets ahead of the general public, Amex confirmed it would offer similar perks to last year for tournamentgoers. Some perks include a complimentary bag check, access to the Centurion Suite that The Platinum Card® from American Express and Centurion cardholders can reserve ahead of time, and a lounge for other cardholders available on a first-come, first-served basis.
