ATPCO has added a new ticket attribute category that enables travelers to see mileage accrual opportunities when shopping for flights.
The Loyalty Rewards Universal Ticket Attribute, part of ATPCO’s Routehappy offering, sources rewards data from branded fares filed by airlines and makes that data available to airlines and third-party sellers via an API. With that, travelers can see what rewards they would receive from a flight as part of the shopping process.
ATPCO said the attribute fills a “critical gap” in data provided during shopping. “Without clear visibility into mileage accrual, customers can feel less connected to airlines and less and [are] less likely to remain loyal,” according to ATPCO.
