Lamborghini Set a New World Record in Japan
Lamborghini will get a new note in the Guinness Book of Records, not for power performance or auction value, as you might think, but for the largest Lambo parade held at the Suzuki circuit in Japan. The Italian automaker gathered 251 Lamborghini cars in one place.
In 2023, Lamborghini will celebrate its 60th anniversary in the automotive business. To mark the important anniversary, the brand assembled a parade of 251 cars in Japan. Representatives of the Guinness Book of Records were present at the event and certified the procession as the largest parade of Lamborghini cars. Almost all Lambo models were present at this festive drive, from the iconic Miura to the recent Countach LPI 800-4.
Hyundai Is Recalling Almost 600,000 Cars
Korean company Hyundai is going to recall more than 570,000 cars. The reason for conducting the withdrawal campaign is the risk of fire due to problems with the traction-coupling device.
The recall will affect the following models:
- Hyundai Santa Cruz 2022-2023
- Hyundai Santa Fe 2019-2023
- Hyundai Santa Fe Hybrid 2021-2023
- Hyundai Santa Fe PHEV 2022-2023
As the manufacturer found out, water gets on the printed circuit board in the traction and coupling device, which increases the risk of spontaneous combustion. According to Hyundai, the car can catch fire both while driving and while parked with the ignition off. Currently, the automaker recommends that owners park their cars exclusively on the street, away from buildings and structures.
If you’re a fan of Korean cars, we invite you to bid on Hyundai vehicles available at the AutoBidMaster online vehicle auctions.
The World’s First Electric Air Taxi Is Planned to Be Launched in Chicago
United Airlines, in cooperation with Archer Aviation, has announced the launch of its first electric vertical takeoff and landing (eVTOL) passenger route, which will be available to passengers starting in 2025. This new mode of transport allows travel between cities connected by a distance of up to 65 miles (around 100 km), including between Chicago O’Hare International Airport and downtown Chicago.
United Airlines says the launch of eVTOL passenger flights is one way to improve vehicle efficiency and reduce emissions. The company plans to use 200 electric helicopters that will be able to transport passengers from stops located on the roofs of buildings.
The first eVTOL flights will be made only during the day and in a limited mode. United Airlines plans to increase the number of flights after receiving all the approvals from regulatory authorities.
Note that eVTOL is a relatively new type of transport that can provide fast and convenient transport in urban conditions. United Airlines is convinced that this mode of transportation has great potential to improve the mobility of large cities and reduce traffic congestion. According to the manufacturer, this machine has a range of 100 miles (ca. 160 km) and a top speed of 150 mph (ca. 240 km/h).
Chevrolet Will Discontinue the Iconic Model
The production of the legendary Chevrolet Camaro will be closed. The muscle car’s legacy will end next year. This was reported by the Chevrolet company.
The last sixth-generation Camaro will roll off the assembly line at the GM Lansing Grand River plant in Michigan next January. To mark the end of production, the manufacturer will release a collector’s edition Camaro RS and SS, as well as a limited number of high-performance Camaro ZL-1s for the North American market.
The manufacturer promised to reveal details about the 2024 Chevrolet Camaro lineup closer to the start of pre-orders, which is scheduled for the summer of this year.
The Chevrolet Camaro is an American muscle car produced by the Chevrolet brand under the General Motors Corporation since 1966. Production of the model was stopped in 2002 and resumed on a new technical basis in 2009. By the way, we at AutoBidMaster also have Chevrolet Camaro vehicles, so if you want to be in touch with the legend of the automotive industry, look at what we have in the inventory.
Formula 1 News: Michael Schumacher’s Iconic Ferrari Chassis Is Up For Sale
An iconic piece of motorsport history is set to hit the auction block at RM Sotheby’s from April 3 to 12 this year. Michael Schumacher’s Ferrari F1-2000 chassis 198, the very car he drove to win the 2000 Formula 1 championship, is expected to fetch more than $10 million, as the latest March 2023 automotive news state.
Although this model is often seen at auctions, this particular car was a spare used by the team. Schumacher first drove it at the Brazilian Grand Prix and went on to achieve impressive finishes at the Spanish and Monaco Grands Prix.
The chassis’ final appearance on the race track was in Austria, where Schumacher finished third and clinched both the drivers’ and constructors’ championship titles for Ferrari that season. This upcoming auction will further prove the high value associated with cars linked to the legendary driver, Michael Schumacher.
An Extra Point: Countries With the Highest Fines for Drivers
To captivate our readers even more, we at AutoBidMaster have gathered information about countries with the largest fines in the world for breaking the rules of the road. Finland topped this rating. The minimum penalty there starts at $1,600, which is still quite high. By the way, a Finnish businessman was fined $200,000 for a traffic violation, based on his total income.
Finland is followed by Canada, where a record $25,000 speeding fine was applied to a driver who was driving over 125 mph (around 200 km/h).
In Japan, drunk driving carries a fine of $8,700, and running a red light can result in a penalty of $420.
When we speak about the UK, the fine for speeding is $100, but in 2017, a British driver was forced to pay $8,000 for going 275 km/h over the speed limit.
In Italy, drunk driving carries a hefty fine of $6,400 and a two-year driving ban.
Meanwhile, in the US, the highest fines vary by state. In Virginia, for example, penalties for speeding can be up to $2,600.
In Portugal, speeding is punishable by a fine of $1,900, and in Germany, it’s $630.
Chinese drivers can face a $300 fine when speeding, while drunk driving carries a $310 penalty, 15 days in jail, and a six-month disqualification. Thus, drivers should be aware of the significant fines and penalties they may get when breaking the road rules.
