Banana Drop Scones with Raisins: A Wholesome and Simple Recipe

These tender and moist banana drop scones with raisins are the best healthy protein packed ones you can imagine. Fortified with extra protein from quick oats along with an egg, this scone recipe is sweetened more naturally from a banana and raisins along with less sugar. The end result is puffy scones that are almost like a cookie in taste and texture that makes a delicious treat for breakfast, brunch, dessert or snacking.

These breakfast scones are quite easy to bake. The most effort that you’ll experience is gathering all the ingredients, mixing them together to thoroughly moisten before dropping the batter by tablespoons onto greased baking sheets.

Despite reduced sugar, something else wonderful about this scone recipe is how enticing and delicious, but not overly sweet they are.

Most scones are ones that you pat out into a thick circle to cut into wedges or roll into small balls to bake. However, this is a drop scone that has stickier dough.

This banana scone recipe also does not spread while baking. Instead, they puff up into soft and subtly sweet mounds infused with raisin and banana flavor.

Those people trying to limit their sweets need not feel guilty grabbing one. These banana oat scones are more filling than plain flour scones. These little mounds almost pass as satisfying protein fortied cookies.

If you have some ripe bananas that you need to use, I recommend give these banana drop scones with raisins a try. You’ll really enjoy it once you taste one.

As a scone lover, I make a lot of different recipes for them. If you want to taste a great basic scone, you should try these easy low-calorie scones with raisins and my oatmeal scones. One of the best dessert scones I make is peanut butter chocolate chip scones and cherry scones, which I urge you to put to the test. I also suggest checking out my search box because there are a great deal more varieties for sweet as well as savory scones.
