U.K. travel management company network Advantage Travel Partnership is partnering with online booking technology provider Vibe to provide an online booking platform for TMCs using Advantage Managed Services, the companies announced.
The managed services model, in which Advantage handles the operational side of a TMC’s business so it can focus on sales and customer service, currently reports 87 branches and total annual revenue of more than £160 million. Those TMCs, which include start-ups as well as established companies, might not otherwise have the resources to implement a technology such as Vibe, according to Advantage.
“By leveraging their collective strength, Advantage is offering their members access to the same world-class tools and services as the biggest players in the industry,” Vibe business development and head of partnerships Danny Girling said in a statement. “It’s all about leveling the playing field and empowering these TMCs to compete on equal terms with the best tech.”
Vibe’s listed booking tool customers include Clarity, Travel Counsellors and Take2Eton.
