Former Bloomberg Media travel manager for EMEA Ian Blackie has joined Saudi Airlines, the flag carrier of Saudi Arabia, as general manager of global corporate sales. The move is a homecoming, of sorts, for Blackie who’s career in travel began with American Airlines and who held sales roles with Etihad Airlines, Swiss International and Virgin Atlantic, and a senior sales role with Qatar prior to taking on his travel management post at Bloomberg six years ago.
Blackie will oversee global corporate sales and travel management company relationships at Saudi. He reports to CCO Arved von Zur Muehlen and is now based in Jeddah.
