BMW ranks #2 in Luxembourg in January.
The Luxembourg new car market gains 12.9% year-on-year in January to 3,726 sales. Volkswagen (+19.3%) beats the market to manage 13.4% share, well above the 11.8% it commanded over the Full Year 2022. BMW (+63%) displays fantastic health and repeats at #2 for the month. Mercedes (-3.6%) slumps year-on-year but at 10.2% share it is above its FY2022 level of 9.6%. Audi (-10.1%) is also in difficulty at #4 and 6.9% share vs. 9% last year. Kia (+67.2%), Renault (+66.9%) and Skoda (+44.9%) deliver outstanding results in the remainder of the Top 10. Notice also Porsche (-10.6%) cracking the Top 10 despite a significant year-on-year loss. Tesla (+4600%) climbs to #12 with 2.5% share, already well above its FY2022 level of #20 and 1.8% share, which is a great achievement at the start of a quarter.
