Boot Tan Fest came on the scene just a couple of years ago as a small, high-stoke gathering of friends — read: hardcore women who wanted to party, celebrate, uplift each other, and ski.
In 2022, founder Jenny Verrochi’s little event had over 200 women show up — breaking a record for the biggest naked ski lap. Founding members embraced the “full frontal freedom,” and even leaned into it, crafting a short film to share body positivity and ski stoke with women everywhere.
“Focused on feminism, Boot Tan Fest promises naked skiing and a solid party itinerary” that first year, and every March since. Verrochi picked March to celebrate Women’s History Month. And sticking with that theme, all the title sponsors, brands, and other community organizers who show up are from women-led businesses, too.

After the closure of Bluebird Backcountry resort, where it was held in years past, Boot Tan Fest is moving to a brand new location this year — Sunlight Mountain in Glenwood Springs. But don’t worry. While the runs will be new, you can expect all the same vibes: uphill access, a party lap, live comedy and music, art and ski vendors, and more.
Registration for tickets opens Dec. 5, 2023. In past years, tickets have sold out quickly. So if you want your plans in March to include this fun, femme, and fully naked ski day, you should decide now.
