Every grown-up charged with the care of a child cringes at the phrase, “I’m bOrEd!” Summer has just begun. How can these words possibly already be uttered? Somehow it doesn’t take much for “kids these days” (and sometimes even ourselves), but never fear!

The City of Beaumont splash pads and pools are absolutely free to all residents and non-residents, so throw on that swimsuit, rub in the sunscreen, and grab a towel on your way to a nearby cooldown spot. 409 Family also has a map of all the 409 area code splash pads and pools to help beat the infamous Southeast Texas heat. With so many options, this is an excellent way to get active and cure the boredom blues.
Museums
