Chevrolet (+68.1%), Suzuki (+76%) prime market up 21.1% – Greatest Promoting Vehicles Weblog


Suzuki is up to 2nd place year-to-date in Uruguay.

New light vehicle sales in Uruguay soar 21.1% year-on-year in June to a round 5,000 units, leading to a year-to-date tally up 3.9% to 26,232. Chevrolet (+68.1%) continues to dominate the charts head and shoulders with 18.9% share vs. 15.4% so far this year. It is followed this month by Suzuki (+76%) rallying back up 8 spots on May to #2, a ranking it now also holds year-to-date vs. #4 after 5 months. Fiat (+49.4%) also beats the market at #3 but Volkswagen (-36.7%) sinks as it led the market outright a year ago in June 2022. Peugeot (+280.6%), Nissan (+63.6%) and Citroen (+27.3%) are the additional Top 10 gainers while further down, Mitsubishi (+588.9%), Ford (+229.2%), BYD (+93.8%) and Chery (+65.1%) shine.
