Chewy Coconut Oatmeal Bars

Ingredients:

1 cup flour
1/4 teaspoon of baking soda, leveled
1/4 teaspoon of salt
2/3 cup of light brown sugar
1/3 cup of canola oil
1 large egg
1/3 cup of milk
½ teaspoons of vanilla
1 cup of quick oats, uncooked
½ cup of chopped walnuts
½ cup of grated coconut flakes

Instructions:

  1. In a large mixing bowl, sift together the flour, soda and salt.
  2. Add the sugar, oil, egg, milk, and vanilla next and beat with electric mixer until smooth. This takes about two minutes.
  3. Stir and blend in the oats, nuts and coconut nuts.
  4. Spread into a greased 7 x 11-inch baking pan.
  5. Bake in a 350-degree oven for 25 to 30 minutes.
  6. Cool and cut into bars.
  7. ENJOY!
