Citroen Berlingo and Ford Ranger prime market off -9.8% – Finest Promoting Automobiles Weblog


The Citroen Berlingo and Ford Ranger are the best-selling vehicles in New Caledonia in September.

653 new light vehicles found a buyer in New Caledonia in September, a -9.8% year-on-year contraction. As a result the year-to-date volume is now up by only 0.3% to 6,321 units. Toyota (-49.1%) once again holds the brands pole position despite losing almost half of its year-ago tally. At 13.1% share, it is well below its YTD level of 22.1%. Renault (+143.3%) surges up to #2 overall and climbs to third place year-to-date. Citroen (+15.4%) and Suzuki (+50%) also vastly outrace the market below. Nissan (+28.6%), Peugeot (+13.9%) and Kia (+5.1%) are also in positive in the remainder of the Top 10 whereas Hyundai (-44.9%) and Dacia (-22.9%) sink. Ford (-5.1%) manages to maintain its loss below the market rate

The Citroen Berlingo (+28.6%) and Ford Ranger (-3.6%) take the lead of the models ranking with 4.1% share each, distancing a surging Renault Clio (+333.3%). The Suzuki Swift (+31.6%) is up six spots on August to #4 while the Isuzu D-Max (+228.6%) is down three to #5 despite soaring year-on-year. The Nissan Navara (+325%) and Citroen C3 (+54.5%) also shine below. Leader year-to-date, the Toyota Hilux (-60.9%) implodes to #8 this month. Further down, the Peugeot Partner (+266.7%), Hyundai Grand i10 (+62.5%) and Kia Sorento (+62.5%) shine.
