Meetings management firm ConferenceDirect is expanding its Asia-Pacific presence with its first Australia-based team, the company announced Friday.
The expansion is headed by ConferenceDirect VP of global accounts and team director Susette van der Linden and global account executive Jo Naumovski, the company said in a statement. The news marks ConferenceDirect’s first VP team director within the Asia-Pacific region, a company spokesperson told BTN by email.
According to ConferenceDirect, van der Linden joined the team in November following 15 years at meetings procurement and site selection company HelmsBriscoe to “build and grow” ConferenceDirect’s Asia-Pacific presence. Naumovski joined the company in February from a previous role as director of sales and marketing with Marriott International. Naumovski also has held sales roles with Accor and Starwood Hotels and Resorts.
ConferenceDirect now has four associates across Australia, India and South Korea due to “high demand” in the region, the company said.
