Conferma Pay has partnered with hospitality technology provider Canary Technologies to deepen the automation of the virtual payment process for hotels, the companies announced.
Conferma has integrated Canary’s digital authorization solution into Conferma Pay Connect, the hotel communication system launched a few years ago, enabling hotels to receive payment data via an API. That will improve the check-in experience for travelers using virtual cards, as the data will be delivered both to a single location accessible by the front desk staff and also to the hotel’s property management system, according to Conferma.
The integrated solution will be available to mutual hotel customers of both Conferma Pay Connect and Canary Technologies.
Conferma Pay chief product officer Stuart Davenport said that Conferma currently is sending only about 7 percent of its payment instructions to hotels by fax, compared with 100 percent before Conferma Pay Connect was launched.
“We’re on a mission to make that 0 percent,” Davenport said in a statement. “Our technology provides connections to enable more frictionless payment experiences, and by partnering with Canary Technologies, hotel payment will be made easier.”
