CTM Rebrands Conferences Division | Enterprise Journey Information

Corporate Travel Management’s specialist meeting and event
travel division used to be called ETM. That changed on Monday when the company
fell into line with its key industry competitors—Amex GBT, BCD and CWT—and
changed its moniker to CTM Meetings & Events.

The move, according to the travel management company, allows
clients to more easily associate and, perhaps, strategize for meetings as an
extension of their corporate travel program, as meetings have emerged since
2022 as a more significant focus of travel spending.

In a self-produced survey
of global CTM customers, the company found that 90 percent of respondents projected
they would travel for customer meetings at the same rate or even more than last
year. Eighty-five percent said they would do the same for internal meetings, and
84 percent said they would participate in conferences and tradeshows at the
same or greater rate than 2023.

Tami Reier will reman in her leadership role as SVP and general
manager of CTM Meetings & Events, North America as the company changes its
name.

“Our
recent customer survey revealed that Americans cherish the chance to
collaborate with colleagues and partners as the number one thing they enjoy
most about business travel,” she said. “It’s clear that in-person interactions
are crucial for fostering strong business relationships and that is the
platform that meetings and corporate events provide.”

According to the company, the decision to rebrand reflects
CTM’s commitment to evolving its services to meet the changing needs of
customers and the travel landscape, recognizing an increased opportunity for savings,
efficiencies and duty of care through an integrated approach to managing
corporate and event travel.
