Meetings technology giant Cvent now
is offering small and simple meeting specialist Bizly’s services in its App
Marketplace and has enabled data integration between the companies, Bizly told
BTN on Thursday.
Cvent users can enter Bizly’s
platform through Cvent’s meeting request form, the tool the company offers
clients to approve and register events.
The integration “allows for a
more seamless transition between the Cvent meeting request form and Bizly –
both Cvent and Bizly customers can use it,” a company representative told BTN
by email. Bizly users can flow Cvent data into the platform using various APIs,
according to the company, while Cvent users can access Bizly from the meeting
request form and import contacts.
“In today’s hybrid workforce,
small meetings are more important than ever and joining our Bizly solutions
together with Cvent through this integration is a natural next step in our
evolution as we look to best support our mutual customers,” Bizly CEO Ron Shah
said. “The integration allows any Cvent customer to embed Bizly into their
meeting request form process and consolidate data in a powerful way.”
The companies plan to expand
capabilities “based on the evolving needs of the market,” according to Bizly.
The news follows the exit of Bizly
chief strategy officer and head of enterprise Kevin Iwamoto, who announced
his retirement in March. The company
has yet to announce his successor.
