Dacia (+217.9%), Kia (+137.1%) shine, gross sales up 32.8% – Greatest Promoting Vehicles Weblog


Dacia sales triple year-on-year in Luxembourg.

After falling -19.7% in June 2022, the Luxembourg new car market rallies back up 32.8% year-on-year in June 2023 to 4,767 sales. This brings the H1 2023 tally up 21.5% to 26,494. The Top 2 carmakers both outpace the market: Volkswagen is up 44.9% to 14.5% share vs. 12.1% so far this year and BMW gains 58.8% to 10.4% share vs. 9.8% YTD. Audi (+22.7%) and Mercedes (+20.7%) are a little weaker but still manage double-digit upticks. Dacia (+217.9%) climbs 11 spots on May to land at #7 with 3.7% share vs. #16 and 2.3% YTD. Kia (+137.1%) is also in fantastic shape at #10 with Renault (+78.7%) and Skoda (+58.8%) also beat the market in the reminder of the Top 10. Below, Tesla (+308.3%), Mini (+134.2%), Land Rover (+85.4%) and Toyota (+64.4%) stand out.
