Dacia Duster best-seller in market up 12.7% – Finest Promoting Vehicles Weblog

The Dacia Duster is the most popular vehicle in Iceland in April.

1,629 new cars hit Icelandic roads in April, a 12.7% year-on-year increase. The year-to-date tally stands at 5,127 units, up 11% over the same period in 2022. After falling to #2 in March, Toyota (+8.6%) reclaims the lead of the brands charts, with Kia (+72%) and Dacia (+3066.7%!) also up one spot on last month to #2 and #3 respectively. Leader in March and traditionally very weak in start of quarter months, Tesla (+2933.3%!) holds extremely well this month and manages to rank #4 overall with 5.6% share. Suzuki (+733.3%), Ford (+205.9%) and Volkswagen (+181.3%) also score splendid gains in the remainder of the Top 10. BYD (#33) makes its first appearance in the ranking.

Over in the models aisle, the Dacia Duster brilliantly takes the lead with 8.8% share, distancing the Kia Sportage at 6.4% and the Tesla Model Y at 5.3%. The Model Y easily holds onto the year-to-date top spot with 12% share. The Toyota RAV4 makes the Top 4 entirely composed of SUVs as it is also the case year-to-date. Three Toyotas follow: the Yaris, Land Cruiser Prado and Corolla.
