Dacia holds a commanding 26.3% of the Moroccan market in June.
17,394 new vehicles found a buyer in Morocco in June, a timid 3.4% year-on-year progression. In the detail, Passenger Cars are up 4.5% to 15,862 but Light Commercials are down -7% to 1,532 units. The Passenger Cars H1 2023 volume edges down -1.3% to 74,227. Dacia (-11.8%) underperforms year-on-year again but lodges a stellar 26.3% share vs. 23.7% so far this year. Renault advances 9.7% to 17.4% share vs. 16% over H1 while Hyundai (+36.5%) soars to stay on the podium. In fact the entire Top 6 is unchanged on May and YTD, with Peugeot (-1.3%), Volkswagen impressive again at +109.5% and Opel (-13.8%) in tow. Audi (+48%), Skoda (+31.4%), BMW (+69.7%) and Jeep (+101.8%) stand out below. Newcomers Cupra (#19) and MG (#20) both break into the Moroccan Top 10 for the first time.
