Event management platform Planned has launched an artificial intelligence sourcing tool for corporate event planners, the company announced Monday.
The AI sourcing tool is available within Planned’s marketplace, a company spokesperson told BTN by email. Planners can make a free account to access the feature and pay a “small transaction if they book through Planned,” the spokesperson said.
The new tool will search Planned’s database of “230,000 suppliers,” including venues, caterers and entertainers, the company said in a statement.
“For each service needed, the tool identifies the best suppliers from Planned’s marketplace and automatically sends the standardized event brief,” the company said. Using the tool, planners fill in details around their event description or work with an account manager to create one, and then allow the AI-sourcing tool to provide relevant information into a standardized brief, the company said.
Additionally, Planned’s AI sourcing tool automatically answers suppliers’ questions until they’re ready to submit a quote, according to the company.
The company tested the product “across 80 events in all of our main North American markets over the last month,” and collected data internally across previous events booked by the same users on the platform, a company spokesperson told BTN.
