Delta Air Lines has released its “most comprehensive [app] update since 2019” with enhancements to disruption management and boarding pass display, the carrier announced Tuesday.
During travel disruptions, customers now will be prompted on the Fly Delta app with a “simplified view” of the help center for actions needed to continue their travels. Through the center, guests can select and manage Delta flight options, track baggage and connect to a virtual assistant with one tap. The new view “reflects more of the information Delta reservations specialists see when assisting customers who contact Delta by phone or messaging.”
Additionally, new boarding-pass functionality keeps boarding information readily available even as customers move to other screens in the app, according to Delta. The carrier also streamlined the navigation ribbon, and a new My Trips tab “brings relevant, upcoming trip information into a standalone view.”
Further, as mentioned during Delta’s Business Showcase event in March, “coming soon” will be the ability for customers to log into Delta Sync Wi-Fi directly from the Fly Delta app.
