Delta to Add Texas Flights, Frequencies


Delta Air Lines will add new service from Dallas Love Field and increase frequencies on several Texas routes, the carrier announced Friday.

On June 5, Delta will launch twice-daily service between Dallas Love Field and each New York’s LaGuardia Airport and Los Angeles International Airport. Service out of Dallas will be from the carrier’s “now-permanent home” at gate 11. Delta will be the only carrier to operate service to New York and Los Angeles from both Dallas airports, according to the airline. In addition, Delta will increase its frequency from Love Field to Atlanta with five daily flights. All flights will operate on Airbus A319 aircraft, according to the carrier.

Further, Delta will increase summer-season frequencies on routes from Austin, San Antonio and Harlingen, Texas. 

From Austin, the carrier on June 5 will increase service to four times daily to each New York’s John F. Kennedy International Airport and Salt Lake City. On July 10, it will boost frequencies to Atlanta to 10 times daily, to each Los Angeles and Minneapolis-St. Paul to four times daily, to each Boston and Seattle to three times daily, and to Raleigh-Durham to twice daily.

Delta on May 8 will resume service between San Antonio and JFK, operating on Airbus A220 aircraft, according to the carrier. Seasonal service on Feb. 17 will begin between Harlingen and Minneapolis-St. Paul, operating on Airbus A320 aircraft, according to the carrier.
