About three years ago, Marriott and Uber launched a partnership that lets U.S. Marriott Bonvoy members earn points on U.S. Uber transactions, including rides and Uber Eats orders.
For a limited time, you’ll earn 1,000 bonus Marriott Bonvoy points when you download the Uber app and link your Marriott and Uber accounts here.
While it might not be quite as generous as previous offers we’ve seen (the last one was for a 3,000-point bonus), it’s still worth linking your accounts to earn a few extra easy points.
Alongside the bonus points, Bonvoy members can earn points in the following ways once they link their Uber account:
- 6 Marriott Bonvoy points per dollar spent on Uber Eats deliveries to hotels operating under Marriott brands in the U.S. (a minimum order total of $40 applies)
- 3 points per dollar spent on premium Uber (Uber XL, SUV, Comfort and Black) rides in the U.S.
- 2 points per dollar spent on non-hotel Uber Eats deliveries and food pickups in the U.S. (a minimum order total of $40 applies)
If you haven’t already linked your accounts, you should do so now since Marriott and Uber offer new registrants 1,000 bonus Marriott Bonvoy points when they download the Uber app and link their accounts by Dec. 31. Additionally, there’s no Uber transaction requirement, so you’ll earn the 1,000 bonus points after downloading the app and linking your accounts.

To link your accounts, open the Uber app, go to “Account,” then “Settings” and scroll down. Tap on “Marriott Bonvoy,” then sign in to your Marriott Bonvoy account with your email or membership number and wait for confirmation that your accounts have been linked. If you’ve just downloaded the Uber app and this is the first time you’ve linked your Marriott and Uber accounts, you’ll automatically receive the 1,000 bonus points within the next six weeks — as long as you link your accounts by Dec. 31.

Bottom line
For those who have yet to link their Marriott and Uber accounts, earning 1,000 bonus points without taking an Uber trip is just icing on the cake for an already attractive double dip opportunity.
Remember to use one of the best credit cards for Uber or one of the best credit cards for food delivery orders so you can maximize your earnings (or savings).
