Electrical Land Cruiser, Glickenhaus WEC exit: Automobile Information Headlines

Toyota has a lot in store for the 2023 Tokyo auto show, which kicks off in the Japanese capital later this week. One of the highlights is a concept previewing a potential electric Land Cruiser. Another is an electric pickup truck concept that looks like it’s ready for production.

Glickenhaus was the first team to sign on for the World Endurance Championship’s new Hypercar class, and the American outfit competed at the top level in the 24 Hours of Le Mans for a few seasons. The journey will soon be over as Glickenhaus has confirmed it will exit the series after the current season.

Nissan teamed up with Forsberg Racing to field a largely stock Frontier pickup truck in the past weekend’s NORRA 500 race in Mexico. The only modifications were some performance suspension parts from Nismo, a mild lift kit, and 17-inch beadlock wheels with all-terrain tires.
